Obituary of Eugene Myciak
Passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on July 22, 2025 at the age of 66. Eugene was a beloved husband of Marylou. Cherished father to Christina Perdue (Matthew) and Peter Blatchley (Jessica). Loving Grandpa to Lucy, Jack, Noah, and future baby Blatchley. Eugene will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Lesa Myciak and Joseph (Bruna) Myciak, and nephews Nicholas, and Alexander (Jodi). He will also be missed by his loyal canine companions, affectionately referred to as “the boys,” Stan and Ollie. Predeceased by his parents Maria and Dmytro Myciak.Eugene retired from the Niagara Detention Centre after 35 years of service. He was a proud Freemason, and a member of St. George’s Lodge No. 15, Merritt Lodge No. 168 and McNab Lodge No. 169.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the palliative care team from ParaMed for their care and compassion over the last few months.
In keeping with Eugene's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada.

Donation made to Diabetes.
I went to school with Eugene. We often went to his home on Wellington street to play during our St. Andrew’s days.
He was a good and kind friend during those days. I remember great childhood memories of us growing up. My condolences to the family, RIP my friend.
