I had occasion to meet Gil over the years, as he came to the office to meet Doug for lunch or to go out golfing. He was always very soft spoken and pleasant to speak with. Will always think of him fondly.

We were shocked and saddened by the news of Gil’s passing. Both of us knew Gil for over 45 years and he was an usher in our wedding. He will be missed so very much. Our heartfelt condolences to Lisa, Dan, Jason, Linda and Colleen.

I was very saddened to hear about Gil’s passing. My thoughts are with Lisa and the rest his family as this time of sorrow. The last time I saw Gil was a little over two years ago and we had spent many Wednesday afternoon’s reflecting and meditating in his backyard among the vineyards. Gil was a special friend and a wise person and he will certainly be missed.

I just moved out west, and only found out today about Gil’s passing. The last time I was in his company was walking out the Port Weller Spit on a lovely day in September. That is a very good memory and one that I will cherish. I knew him from the School of Philosophy and Taoist Tai Chi, and found him such an interesting person to talk to. He had such an inquiring mind. Please accept my condolences.

I/we pledge to make a memorial donation.

Very saddened to learn of Gil’s passing. I had the honour of occasionally working with Gil at the GM powerhouse (Glendale site). He was not only a master of his trade but a wonderful person to work with – generous in sharing his knowledge and calmly conducting himself even in stressful situations. It was always interesting to talk to Gil – his breadth of knowledge, his good humour, and his philosophical musings made for time well spent. Sincere condolences to his family – I can only imagine your grief – my prayers are with you. Rest in Peace Gil.
