Obituary of Elsie Marie MacMillan
With the deepest sorrow the family of Elsie MacMillan announces her sudden passing on Thursday, July 9, 2026.Elsie was the beloved soul mate and wife of Gary Clarke for 22 years. She will be deeply missed by her step-daughter, Amanda Clarke. The precious daughter of Wanda and the late Kevin MacMillan. The cherished sister of Kevin (Katrina), Dale, Michelle (Matthew), and Justin (Melissa). The adored aunty of Mercedes, Nevaeh, Serenity, Autumn, Justin, Callum, and a vast extended family.
Elsie was vibrant, creative, kind, loyal, and resonated love. Her contagious laughter brought joy to us all. She will never be forgotten.
Elsie was taken from us too soon. This shocking and tragic loss has devastated all who knew her.

Another light has gone out in the sky, but Elsie’s light will be forever in our hearts. We will always remember your gentle soul, beautiful smile, and contagious laugh. We are going to miss you so much. Our heartfelt condolences go out to our son Gary, granddaughter Amanda, and all the family. Rest In Peace beautiful Elsie. Elsie was a truly genuine sweetheart whose kindness, warmth and love touched everyone around her. Over the years, I heard so many wonderful stories about the beautiful, personalized cakes she lovingly created for the Roller Derby Girls. Her incredible talent was matched only by her generous heart.
Words can’t express how deeply sorry I am that Elsie had to go back to heaven so soon.
My heart goes out to her family, Gary & Amanda, friends and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Elsie will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten ❤️

Words cannot express how deeply saddened I was on hearing the news of Elsie’s passing. Elsie was a beautiful, kind soul that would light up any room with her radiant smile. My heart especially goes out to her husband Gary, stepdaughter Amanda and all her family and friends. Elsie touched so many lives during her short time on this earth, and those memories spent with her will never be forgotten.

I really do not know what to say. It was such a shock to me to hear of the loss of Elsie. She was such a bright, engaging soul. I wish to offer my deepest love and sympathy to you Gary, and Amanda, and to all the family members that have been affected by this overwhelming tragedy.
