Obituary of Eleanor "Elly" Marie Moore

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Eleanor "Elly" Marie Moore on October 14, 2022 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by the love of her family, at the age of 69. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband William "Bill" Moore, her devoted children; Tina Christian (Chris), Angie, Melissa Hopkins and step-children Kourtney and William Moore, her cherished grandchildren; Joshua, William and Holly Hopkins, her step-grandchild Thomas, her brother-in-law Carl (Tammy) and sister-in-law Julie (Paul), her mother and father-in-law James and Evylyn Gregg as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Elly was born in Welland but was raised in Allanburg by her grandmother Irma Dunham. She worked most of her days in hospitality as a hostess/barista but did hold a position helping animals. This was a role that she held close to her heart. This loss will affect everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her but will be especially felt by her best friend Susanne Zimmer Basque.

The family would like to send their sincere thanks to Dr. Manser and her daughter, "Nurse Melissa" for their love, compassion and care of Elly in her final days.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-734-1031) A celebration of Elly's life will be held at a later date. If desired, donations in her memory can be made to Welland Humane Society and would be appreciated by her family.
