Obituary of Edward Francis Berezowski
Ed passed away at Hospice Niagara on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the age of 85. He leaves behind his wife Mary and sons Tim (Sylvia) and Tony (Wendy). He has joined his daughter Karen, who passed away in 2012. Ed very proudly served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 15 years and was always identified as a man of Service. He kept this important part of him alive through involvement with the local Legion, Branch 396, where he met some of his closest friends. His legacy will now be carried on by his sons and his 5 grandchildren: Xander, Giulian, Stella, Luke, Cora; which he was so proud of. In accordance with Ed’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. There will be a small family service held. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to make a memorial donation will give it to Hospice Niagara, in Ed's name, as they took wonderful care of him until the very end. Aunt Mary, Tim and Tony; Please accept our condolences. Many fond memories. The 2 that stick out for me as a kid was your family coming back to Kamsack for Christmas when our Grandmother was still alive. I remember how thrilled she was that you were all coming for Christmas. I think it was about 1973. And then our family trip to Niagara Falls many years later. Golfing with your Uncle Ed. Enjoying many of the sites around the Falls with Karen and Xander. Thank-you Aunt Mary for being a great host. Our kids still reminisce about the trip. Murray, Laurie, Meaghan, Brooke & Jordan.
Tony and family. We are thinking of you at this time. Our sincere condolences. I did not have the pleasure to meet Ed but spending years coaching with Tony I feel like I new him all my life. We were both blessed with great dads.
Sincerely Tony & Tanya Royston
Sincere condolences on the passing of Ed. So sorry for your family’s loss. We are the family of Ed’s late uncle Carl Gulewich from Vancouver Island BC. My mom, Beatrice Gulewich remembers when Ed was a young man he came and stayed with them for a few days before going to Victoria BC. After he left mom found a pair of his shoes in the closet and she had to ship them home to him. We have heard many stories from Cec about him and his brothers visiting my dad’s childhood farm.
Best wishes from your Vancouver Island family
Beatrice Gulewich
