Obituary of Duncan Roderick Mackenzie

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Duncan Roderick Mackenzie announces that he has passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the age of 82.

Beloved husband of June Mackenzie (née Shea). Loving father of Jennifer Mackenzie, Colin Mackenzie (Francesca), Sandee Piazza (Mark), and Lara Mackenzie. Proud grandfather of Taylor, Zack, Katy, Nolan, Jack, Erin, Sammy, and Ella. He will be fondly remembered by his siblings Barby and David, and is predeceased by his parents John (Jack) and Dorothy Mackenzie.

Duncan had a deep love of photography and could often be found with a camera in hand, capturing moments of nature and family, preserving every cherished memory. He also loved fishing and during his time spent in Red Lake, went out fishing every chance he got. A skilled craftsman, Duncan spent many hours in his woodshop creating beautiful furniture.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family gathering will be held at a later date. In memory of Duncan, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region.
