Obituary of Dorothy Hazel Mackenzie
It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Dorothy Mackenzie on December 5, 2021 peacefully in the comfort of her home in her 100th year. Left to tell the wonderful stories of her life are her children; Rod Mackenzie (June), David Mackenzie and Barbara Mackenzie (John Blackwell) and her sisters Alda Ferreira and Barbara (Glenn) Pickell. Dorothy has also left a beautiful legacy for her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. In Dorothy's younger years she was an avid curler. She enjoyed cross stitching, reading, playing bridge and of course, playing the casino slots! She was very giving of her time volunteering for many organizations like the tuck shop at Eventide Retirement Home and being a member of the Stamford United Church ladies unit. She will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.In keeping with Dorothy's wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905 354 2133)
