Obituary of Dorothy Rose Lindsay

It is with sorrow in our hearts that we announce the passing of Dorothy Rose Lindsay on February 25, 2022 at the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital at the young age of 96. Dorothy leaves behind her children: Laura Lea, Russell and Steven, her daughters-in-law Nancy Ann Gray and Tracey Lindsay, her sister Joan Heatherly and sister-in-law Pauline Stinchcomb.

Dorothy was a strong, independent woman. She cared for her three children and gave them the best life she could. She worked various jobs throughout her life; Bell Canada, answering service for medical offices and as a building manager, to name a few. But the role that brought her the most joy was that of a mother. She was protective but also knew when to let go. She enjoyed sipping her tea on the porch with her fur grandbabies by her side, riding on the back of Harley Davidson's and even spending time at the gym with Russell into her late 80's.

In keeping with Dorothy's wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905 354 2133).
