Obituary of Donna Lutz

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Donna, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at the age of 62. Donna was a loving and devoted wife of Albert, who were together and soulmates for a total of 49 years. She will be forever loved by her daughter Crystal, her grandchildren Riely (Morgan), Katie (Ben), and Liam, and their father Chip. Dear sister of Don (Judy) and Judie, and sister-in-law of Pat (Gary) and Randy. Her extended family, many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews will all remember Donna. Also grieving this significant loss is her fur family; Kelly (her dog), Molly and Mickey (her cats), her grand-pup Sadie and our newest addition to the family Heidi, a little puppy that Donna gifted Albert before she passed away. Donna has been reunited with her parents Donald and Anna “Betty” Bowerbank.

Donna’s world revolved around her family. There wasn’t anything that she wouldn’t do to make sure her family was taken care of, happy and provided for. She was the type of person who would take the shirt off her back for anyone in need. Spending time with her family and friends brought her the greatest amount of joy at the same time, she also loved being at home taking care of all the family pets. Donna will be forever loved and remembered by all who knew her.

A special thank you to our family and friends for extending their love and support, especially helping us move into our home, a special place that Donna picked for us to live in. The extra help during this time has been greatly appreciated by Albert and Crystal.

In accordance with Donna’s wishes, cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. Family and friends are welcome to gather for a Celebration of Donna’s Life held at Katie Pearce's home, 695 Middletown Road, Hamilton, on Saturday, June 25, 2022. Everyone is welcome to arrive at 1pm. Special words of remembrance will be shared at 1:30pm and the duration of the day will be an open house for those who are wishing to come by. Please dress casually and if you can, wear something purple or sparkly to celebrate Donna’s beautiful spirit. Food and refreshments will be provided. Please bring your own lawn chair.
The family has asked for memorial donations towards an outdoor gazebo and a tree to be planted in Donna’s memory. Your gifts can be placed in a special box at the celebration of her life or can be e-transferred to the family by sending the donation to [email protected].
