Obituary of Donald Edward Taylor

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Edward Taylor on April 9th, 2021, at the age of 93. He died suddenly at his home in Welland. Don was born on March 30, 1928 in London, Ontario, son of Albert and Anna Belle Taylor. He left home at an early age and headed west to British Columbia where he met the love of his life, Ella, in Vancouver. They were married for 70 years, prior to her death in 2018.

He will always be missed by his six children: Darlene Corbett (Robert), Diana, Donna Kalailieff (Ted), Denise Maracle (late Larry), Scott (Helen), and Donald (Patti). Don was also the proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He leaves behind his 98 year old sister, Jean Doust of Arthur, Ontario. He has been reunited with his brother Ralph Taylor predeceased him.

Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133) has been entrusted with arrangements. As per Donald's wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a private family burial at a later date.

He spent 75 plus years trucking across North America.
He is on the Road again.

The Taylor family's thoughts.
"Dad, always on my mind , forever in my heart. You're riding high with me now on the highway of heaven. You will always be with me wherever I go. I love you so much forever. My Rock!"
Love, Donald

I am shocked and sad that this man, with a larger than life personality is gone from this world. May God bless you all as you grieve his passing. I will always have fond memories of Don at the Hill/Darby reunion and am so sad that COVID has kept us from seeing him the past couple of years. Sending love from the states..

Condolences to your family. I never had the pleasure of meeting him but my Mom was a cousin to Ella.
