Sorry to hear of Dona passing, condolences to the entire family.
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen Dona, but she was a pretty regular fixture in my childhood, being married to my mom’s Brother, Terry, and the stepmom to a favourite cousin Ron (Plus step cousins Kathy, Kevin, and Karen). I recall her fondly, as someone who loved family, and who we as kids thought was hilarious, endearing, and whom we always looked forward to visiting, or her visiting us.
An unusual memory, if you’ll indulge me, is recalling her love of Meatloaf’s Bat Out Of Hell record back in the day (1976). She recognized his huge talent and vocal abilities, and that’s something that has stuck with me my entire life.
People and families drift apart, but know that my memories of Aunt Dona are as fond as memories get, and I’m sure she leaves a giant vacancy in many people’s hearts and lives. Rest in peace, and condolences to family and those who were close to her.
Very sorry to hear of the passing of Donna. My condolences to Terry Ron and the whole family. She was a great person.
