Obituary of Dolores Marie Bateman
With courage and love, Dolores' valiant fight came to a peaceful end as she was surrounded by her family on Monday, June 22, 2020 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, at the age of 75. She will be forever loved and missed by her best friend and partner Art Napper, and by her son Bill (Layne) Main. Proud Grandma to her favourite grandchildren, Zachary, Connor (Alicia), and Bradley. Dear sister of Tony (Eileen) Timperio and Frank (Bev) Timperio, and will be missed by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Emiddio and Fortunata Timperio, and by her sister Anna (Gerry) Thorne. A special thank you to her health care team in Unit D-Orange Line at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, and to the Walker Family Cancer Centre for their support. Arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). In accordance with Dolores' wishes, cremation has taken place and a family gathering will be held at a later time. Donations given to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Dolores will be greatly missed by the students at Forestview. She made our day with her laughter and love for the children every time she lead us across the street.

We were saddened to hear of Dolores’s passing. She was a wonderful crossing guard who fiercely protected her kids. We will miss her smile and daily greeting. Our condolences to Dolores’s family.
So sorry for your loss. Dolores was an amazing woman, who made my 5 year old’s day every time we walked to school in the morning. I was in awe of just how much love she had for all the kids she helped
Dolores was always such a sweet and loving person. She brought a smile to everyone who came her way including my self and we are so sad to hear of her passing. Thank you for everything.
We are so sad to hear of Dolores passing. She was the most caring and protective Crossing Guard, always going out of her way to make us smile and laugh. We are going to miss her greatly!

She was a wonderful part of my morning and afternoon as I walked my kids to school. She was always ready with a smile and a laugh. You will be missed, our walk to school will never be the same.
I was saddened to learn of Dolores’ passing, a special, kind, loving sister-in-law. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time.
