In Loving Memory of

David Smigelsky

1957-2020

Obituary of David Smigelsky

On Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at the Douglas Memorial Hospital in Fort Erie, our world said goodbye to a one of a kind, great humoured man, Dave Smigelsky. Born on November 2, 1957, in Toronto, to his parents Suzanne Arlow-Wentzel and Nickolas Smigelsky. A Dad that loved his sons more than anything, he will be forever remembered by Shane, and by his grandchildren Selina and Nicholas. He will be missed by his brothers Nick, Jeff, and by their families. Dave has been reunited with his loving son Corey, his parents Suzanne and Nickolas, and with his brother Steven.

In his younger years he grew up with his brothers in Cooksville, Mississauga, and would often be seen wearing his cowboy boots. As he grew older, he became a gentleman that always looked meticulous with his hair combed nicely and often dressed in his jeans and tucked in t-shirt. He would leave a standing impression with everyone he met. He would always cheer on his favourite teams; Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Argos and the Dallas Cowboys. Not to mention, how much he loved playing poker and was a diehard Elvis fan. There is no doubt that we are left with many Memories; “Memories pressed between the pages of our minds, which are sweetened thru the ages just like wine..”

A special thank you to Dave’s medical team at the Douglas Memorial Hospital for their comfort and outstanding care. Arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at Meadowvale Cemetery, 7732 Mavis Road, Brampton, on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 12pm.

Due to provincial rules regarding COVID 19, there is a 50 person maximum limit at the cemetery while attending a graveside ceremony. Masks are not mandatory when outdoors.
