Obituary of David (Dave) Alan Peters

Sadly, we announce that on Friday, July 26, 2024 at the age of 62 David Alan Peters passed away in Fort Erie. He has been reunited with his parents John and Mary (née Healey) and his brother Bill Peters. Left behind to share his legacy is his devoted daughter Cortney Peters, his dear siblings Ann Lutka (Willie), Ed Peters (Lee Ann), Donna Lejeune (Robert), sister-in-law Ann Peters as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. David will be terribly missed by Cortney's mother, Julie Violette Moore who still shared a close bond with David, Oaklynn Moore who was an honorary grandchild and his close friends Ross, Josef and Debbie who stuck by his side through all the good times and the hard times.

David was a man of many passions and a true jack of all trades. His love for the outdoors was evident in his enjoyment of fishing, gardening, BBQing, and feeding the birds and chipmunks. He found joy in being barefoot outdoors and loved spending time fishing on a boat with a cold Molson Canadian in hand. David had a remarkable sense of humor, often sharing his favorite saying, "If you can't be good, be bad!" His charismatic and go-with-the-flow attitude made him a beloved figure among his friends and family.

David worked various odd jobs in construction throughout his life, never shying away from hard work. Though he had little material wealth, he was always happy to give what he had, expecting nothing in return. His generosity, charm, and lively spirit touched everyone who knew him. He was a true ladies' man, with a heart as big as his beautiful blue eyes that could light up any room.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services in Welland. If desired, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice and the next time you are BBQing or fishing, crack open a cold Molson Canadian in David's honor.
