In Loving Memory of

David Alan Sabourin

Obituary of David Alan Sabourin

It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of David Alan Sabourin on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the NHS-St. Catharines Site just shy of his 59th birthday. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 38 years, Almerinda (née Ridolfo), cherished children David Jr. and Krista McCabe (Matthew), parents Joy and Gerry, brothers Chris (Gail) and Tim (RuthAnne), Aunt Connie Moore, mother-in-law Dora Ridolfo, father-in-law George Ridolfo (Beatriz) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Dave will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him but his absence will be greatly felt by his fur babies Bear and Eddy.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. A private family gathering will be held in his honor. If desired, donations may be made to The Lincoln County Humane Society, Community Care St. Catharines/Thorold, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Diabetes Association in memory of Dave and would be appreciated by his family.

I still can’t believe he is gone. I’ve always looked at him as if he was bigger than life itself. On the surface he was a grizzly bear. Underneath he was a teddy bear. Anyone who knew him like I did was blessed with his knowledge and big heart. His word was as good as any contract. He was one of only a few people I knew who still has cooth and fully understood what respect meant. My life is better for having known him and I thank Almerinda, Dave Jr and Krista for sharing him with me. My heart goes out to you guys.
