Obituary of David James Arsenault

With utter shock, disbelief and shattered hearts we announce the passing of our beloved David "Dave" Arsenault on Friday, September 9, 2022. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 42 years, Rose (née Del-Giacco), their loving children, Chris (Vicki) and Crystal, his cherished grandchildren, Clara, Alexander, Luca, and Sofia. His childhood memories will be kept alive by his siblings, Judy Bernard (John), Paul (Sandra), Patsy Bernard (Dennis), Barb Cutts (Frank) and Kim, brothers-in-law Tony (Debbie) and Robbie (Josephine), his sister-in-law Elena Kasper and his many nieces, nephews and cousins. Dave was greeted on the other side by his parents Doris and Albert Arsenault, his sister Gloria as well as his parents-in-law Susan and Albert Del-Giacco and brother-in-law Kurt Kasper. Dave will be extremely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him but especially by his best friend and riding partner, Dave Duffy.

Dave served as a volunteer firefighter for the town of Chippawa for decades and has also worked for the City of Niagara Falls. He was a social butterfly and would give the shirt off his back to anyone. A selfless family man that left no question as to who was most important to him. He enjoyed motorcycle rides with the club and just single rides with Dave. He played many sports in his youth and always looked forward to the Ball Tournament at the Chippawa Fire Hall.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133) A Celebration of Dave's Life will take place on Sunday, September 18, 2022 between 12:00 p.m and 4:00 p.m at The Chippawa Fire Hall. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Dave's memory to Lincoln County Humane Society or to Sick Kids Hospital. Online condolences may be shared on Dave's tribute page found at EssentilasNiagara.com.

To the entire Arsenault Family. You do not know me, but please accept my heartfelt condolences on the unnecessary passing of your beloved David. I could not help but notice that you were honest with respect to the reason for your beloved Dave’s untimely passing. He was truly failed by our abhorrent health care system and I am so sorry. I did not know David, but it was a beautiful obituary and I can feel what a wonderful man he was. Your family is all in my thoughts and prayers at this time during your heartbreaking, preventable loss.
