I am just reading this now – checked my Messenger to discover the last time we chatted was 5 days before he passed 💔
Daryl & I go way back to 1974 – ’75, when he played for the Smiths Falls Bear’s hockey team. We connected again decades later with the intro of computers, cell phones & Facebook. He showed me around the peninsula, watched him try to fill Lake Ontario with golf balls from a park & was with him at the Canadian Long Drive Championship. Then, life took us separate ways again, but we stayed in touch. I will always remember that wicked grin, that silly sense of humor & that “just watch me!” attitude. Rest Easy now my dear friend, your pain is gone. I know that somewhere you’re still aiming for the Lancaster’s! Love & Miss you my dear old friend ❤️

Always smiling and up for fun, like his dear mother, my Aunt Jo. In his youth, his hockey career was a great source of pride for his parents and the extended family from memory. I will always remember his kind yet mischievous smile. Condolences and prayers.

Had the pleasure of knowing
Him for many years in St Kitts
And competed in school sports
Together Great guy I’m glad
I got to hook up with him back in January
When I was home for another funeral
We talked of the past and things we
Done as kids monkey Buissness wise
And what we had achieved in life
Was a moment of memories
He said his cancer had slowed
Him down and it was back
I was most impressed by his
Memory and how far back we recalled
Sorry for his loss. For he was more
A winner than a loser in life
Rest now my friend and set up the ball team
For when we that are left here
Are to join You My Dear friend
