Obituary of Darryl Dobrindt
Darryl W. E. DobrindtDarryl left us peacefully at home on March 25, 2022 for the great outdoors which he loved with a passion. His love for family and the cottage with be remembered through the endless memories filled with laughter and the countless hours of dedication he put into his woodwork. At the beginning of his thirty year career as a fire fighter for the city of St. Catharine’s (retiring in 2010), Darryl was an avid trapper, which quickly earned him the nickname Trapper, that would stick for the remainder of his time with us.
Darryl’s wife Joanne (Swanwick) and daughter Amanda Leslie (Adam) will miss him deeply and will be surrounded with his love daily in all the beautiful pieces of furniture that he made for their home.
Darryl will be also be missed by his sister-in-laws Carolyn Swanwick (William Rickers) and Sheila Wowk (Anthony Fiorucci) along with their families. He will be remembered by friends here and those in Kipawa, Quebec.
Darryl was predeceased by his parents Audrey and Earl Dobrindt and in-laws Shirley and David Swanwick.
In keeping with Darryl’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will not be a service or visitation. A private Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services, 221 Division Street, Welland.
