Obituary of Daniel Rick Fortin
It is with heavy hearts that Paul and Annie Fortin announce that their son Daniel Rick Fortin unexpectedly passed away on Friday, February 16th at the age of 32.Always jovial, Daniel is remembered as a kind soul who was always willing to help his family and friends.
Daniel attended A.N. Myer High School and graduated from Fanshaw College as a mechanic. Daniel cherished his prized ‘89 Mustang, which he built with his father who was his best friend. Daniel was infinitely proud of the time he spent on the show American Hot Rod with his dad in the late 2000s. Always a foodie, he enjoyed frequent dinners with his mother.
Daniel leaves behind a sister Krystle (Kevin), and two nephews. Daniel also remained close to his extended family. He will be missed by his Godfather and Uncle, the late Gene (Larrisa), cousin Ashton (Roger), Uncle Rich and Aunt Shirley, cousins Kim (Greg), Kelly (Cam), Megan (Johnny), Uncle Simon and Aunt Joy, cousins Bianca (Tim), Stephen, Uncle Andrew and Aunt Judith, and cousins Michael, Shawn, Uncle Smokey (Sandra), cousins Marko, Nick (Sharon), Katelyn (Dan), Aunt Diane, cousins Monika (Frank) and Vince (Lisa).
Daniel will forever be deeply missed by his family and friends; we remain grateful for the time we had with him.
Immediate family is invited to join in a celebration of life at Americana Resort & Spa Saturday, February 24th from 2-4. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Pathstone Mental Health.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Daniel put new pads and rotors on my car a few years ago. He was a lovely young man. Lots of prayers are being sent your way.

I am deeply saddened to hear about your loss. As someone who lost her fiance when he was just 32 I understand the pain you are all going through. Sometimes we have no answers as to why these situations befall us. There are no words to ease your pain right now but I want to reach out to you to tell you I am thinking of you all and I connect to your grief. Your loved one was a huge part of your lives and you can never fill the void now he is gone, but you will always have his memories and his love in your hearts. That will bring you much comfort in the future.
Sending you all my deepest sympathy and condolence. I am going to toast to Dan this evening. Although his life was short, he gave you all a lot of love and that is one of his many achievements and which we can all be thankful for.

Being his Landlord of Imperial Towers, I usually saw Daniel in my office on a monthly basis and the odd time throughout the premises walking to his vehicle. Daniel was always pleasant and I enjoyed speaking with him when I had the chance.
My thoughts and prayers surround your family.
Dan was like a brother to me .. was a great friend and was always willing to lend a hand .. I was out of town working my girlfriend with her son was stuck on the side of the road and Dan pulled over got the car running and got them home safe and then followed up by installing new breaks .. the world needs more people like Dan .. to the Fortin family I’m very sorry for your loss ……
