Obituary of Colleen Roy

After a sudden and fast progressing fight with cancer, Colleen passed away peacefully with family by her side on August 21, 2024 at the age of 62. She was the loving partner to Al Tosetto for 12 years. Beloved mother to her children Jessie and Keshia (Lennox). Cherished Gramma to Owen. Dear sister to Jocelyn (Kevin), Christopher (Melinda) and Rodney (Sonia). Colleen was a much loved aunt to her nephew Matthew (Beth) and their son Gavyn, niece Jennifer (Ryan) and their children Kaiya, Jaxen, Dexter, and Easton, nephew Christopher and niece Shelby. Colleen will be dearly missed by Al's family, including his children Julia and Kurt, grandchildren Colin, Daphne, Veda and Bray as well as Grace and Frank Tosetto and their daughter Jenny. Colleen will also be fondly remembered by the Roy family. Predeceased by her parents Roy and Joyce Gray.

Colleen spent many years working in the hospitality industry, where her warmth and dedication shone brightly. In her leisure time, she could be found playing brain teaser video games, listening to country music, or cheering on her favourite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. In her later years, Colleen became a wonderful cook, delighting her family with her culinary creations. She also enjoyed travelling, and took many RV camping trips over the years. Colleen was also an animal lover, and her beloved dogs, Jack and Daniels, will undoubtedly miss her presence.

A wonderful mother and grandmother, Colleen’s love for her family was evident in everything she did. She was a kind woman, known for her big heart and caring nature, always putting others before herself. She will be missed beyond measure.

Colleen’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the ICU team at St. Catharines General Hospital for their exceptional care and support during her final days.

In accordance with Colleen’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no visitation or service. If desired, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
