Obituary of Claudia Jean Scarfone
It is with great sadness that the family of Claudia Jean Scarfone announce her unexpected passing in early December. Claudia is now reunited with her beloved baby, Christopher, in eternal peace. She is also predeceased by her parents, Warren and Geraldine Hayslip, and her brother Larry Hayslip.Claudia will be lovingly missed by her children, Melissa, Nicholas, Matthew (Lindsey), and Andrew (Kelly). Cherished by her grandchildren, Anthony, Jonathan, and River. Claudia also leaves behind her older sister, Carol Greenwood, and her nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
Always finding joy in simple pleasures, Claudia loved fishing up North, cheering for the Buffalo Bills, and enjoying cheesy action movies with Steven Seagal. She was a selfless soul, giving her all with a generous heart. Her sentimental side was evident in the cherished arts and crafts from her boys' younger days, displayed with pride. One of Claudia's greatest companions was her cat of seven years, Simon.
In accordance with Claudia’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Claudia’s life will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 6pm-8pm at Essentials Cremation and Burial Services, 4300 Drummond Road, Niagara Falls. Claudia's family will inter her urn at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill, on Friday, January 5th. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Canadian Cancer Society or Hotel Dieu Shaver.

I did not know Claudia, but I do know her children and grandchildren in Kingston. It is quite shocking and sorrowful to hear this news. My family would like to extend heartfelt condolences to Claudia’s family and friends. We will pray together for her peace in Heaven. I hope she is catching big fish surrounded in God’s love!
