Obituary of Christopher Parry

It is with profound sadness that the family of Christopher Parry announces his passing on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, at 64 years of age.

Christopher was the cherished son of the late Evan and Marie Parry (née Laforest). He will be deeply missed by his siblings: William (Donna), Robert (Kathy), Deborah (Louie), Thomas (Cathy), Susan, and Jeffrey. He was a beloved uncle to William (Tanya), Lisa (James), Jennifer (Mario), Erin (Matt), Cassie (Jared), Andrea (Dan), Mark (Alyson), Evan, Cameron, Rebecca, Kelsa, and Brandon. Christopher was also a proud great-granduncle to Kaiya, Reef, Liam, Ryder, Adeline, Madison, Zachary, Austin, Lidia, Leah, Mason, Nolan, Mackenzie, and Bentley. He will be remembered fondly by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Christopher possessed a sharp wit and a warm sense of humour. From an early age, he developed a passion for cooking and took great pleasure in experimenting in the kitchen. His cheesecake, in particular, was regarded with high praise among family and friends. Though quiet by nature, he delighted in bringing levity to those around him and had a remarkable ability to brighten even the darkest of days. He found joy in music of all kinds and took comfort in the written word, often immersing himself in books. Above all, Christopher valued family and demonstrated a steadfast loyalty to those he loved. He was known for standing up for the underdog and showing compassion toward others.

The family extends their sincere gratitude to the Urban Angels at St. Michael’s Hospital for the support provided to Christopher in recent years, and to the dedicated physicians and staff for their exceptional care and kindness in his final weeks. Their efforts are deeply appreciated.

A Celebration of Life for Christopher will be held at a later date. In memory of Christopher, donations to the Urban Angels at St. Michael’s Hospital would be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
