Obituary of Charles Frederick Nickerson (Charlie)
NICKERSON,Charles Frederick (Charlie)Has gone to be with our Lord Jesus on November 14, 2021. He is now reunited with his dogs Black Jack, Jack Pot, Bear, Sam and Poppy. Charles will be sadly missed by his sister Jeanne (Joe Steadman). He will be fondly thought of by his long time friend Eric. Charles was predeceased by his parents Fred and Ruth Nickerson.
Charlie was born and raised in Niagara Falls, Ontario. He was a quiet man but was loved by all who knew him. He joined the American Navy in the 1960’s hoping to see the world. After he retired from the Navy, he went to school and became a registered nurse in the 1980’s. After his nursing career, he retired and spent his time enjoying his hobbies. Going shopping and looking for the best bargains was one of his favorite pastimes. Charles was an avid golfer. He went as often as he could to play his favorite sport at the local golf club. Animals were another passion of his. He enjoyed helping and feeding birds, squirrels, and stray cats. He loved to rescue dogs from the Humane Society. Every Monday night he made sure to have the T.V. remote in his hand to watch his favourite show “The Voice”.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). As per Charles’ wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Niagara Humane Society. Online condolences may be made on Charles’ tribute page found at EssentialsNiagara.com.

Jeanne and Joe, I’m so sorry and shocked to hear of Charlie’s passing. I remember with fondness the times I used to sleep over at your house and running around in the front yard after dark with Charles and Ronnie chasing us…or sneaking your dad’s raspberries! So many memories, hopefully they bring you peace, Marlene

Jeanne and Joe, I’m so sorry to hear about Charlie’s passing. He was a cousin that I didn’t get to spend much time with because of the distance but I used to see him at the GNGH when my parents were in patients.
