On Sunday, December 23, 2018, at the age of 72, Ceil passed away suddenly at her home surrounded by her family. Dear mother of Jamie Parliament (Nancy Beausoleil), Lori Parliament (Carey Gagne) and Danny Kauffman. Proud Grandmother of Ryan and Sylvia Kauffman who brought so much happiness into her life, they meant more than words can describe and the reason she fought everyday this last year for more time to spend with them. All members of the Towne, Kauffman and Parliament families will miss her presence and send their deepest regards. Ceil will be remembered by her nieces, nephews and many other relatives that support her memory. Truly with all her heart a loving and devoted sister too Gary Towne (Marg Rowe) and Joan (Terry) O’Brien. The closest friends, the co workers and acquaintances that have either remained or traveled through her life while working at The Falls Manor Restaurant for 25-30 years will be the biggest part of another family that she loved deeply. But the greatest loss will be felt especially by the most important person in her life, Sister Joan, who was her best friend, secret keeper and Partner in Crime. Ceil cherished every moment she spent with Joan no matter the cause or reason. Cecelia was predeceased by her brother George and her parents, Jean and Cecil and will now be joining them in the Lundy’s Lane Cemetery. We especially want to thank the Walker Family Cancer Centre and the Oncology Unit for their special care and support. The final thank you goes out to Liz White for caring and cooking meals for Ceil. Ceil lived with Liz for 6 years and helped in the later stages with transportation when needed and became a good friend to Ceil. In accordance with Ceils’ wishes cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 11am-1pm, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 6101 North Street, Niagara Falls. The Interment to follow at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery, 7489 Lundy’s Lane, at 2pm. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be given to the Walker Family Cancer Centre.
