Obituary of Cathleen "Denise" Cady

Our family is sad to announce the passing of Cathleen "Denise" Cady who peacefully passed away in her home on Friday, December 23, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a devoted life partner of 32 years to Bob Scott. A loving mother to Brandon Robert Scott and step mother of Jessica Crowe. Proud and adoring grandmother of Emilyne. She was the daughter of Barbara and the late Paul Cady of Niagara Falls, daughter-in-law of Beverley Anne Scott and the late Donald Merton Scott, and was Aunt "Aunt Niecee" to Dawn Bowman and Dorothy Peets. Denise had many friends and was known for her one of a kind personality.

Since 1996, Denise and Bob have owned and operated their family business, Motortowne Auto Leasing, where Denise looked after bookkeeping and administration. She will be remembered by their customers and associates she had met through the years. Denise was loving and supportive towards the people in her life and they could always count on her to be truthful and honest. Each year she enjoyed volunteering in the pie shop at the Niagara Antique Power Association; helping out at the annual show brought her great joy. She loved her morning walks with Bob and travelling with him on their vacation getaways. When she was at home, she would crochet different pieces; from doilies, cardigans, dresses to blankets and throws, many of these handmade designs will be cherished by her family and friends in the years to come.

In accordance with Denise's wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905) 734-1031. A Celebration of Denise's life may be held and announced at a later time. In memory of Denise, memorial donations may be given to the Niagara Antique Power Association.
