I am so shocked and saddened to read of Cameron’s death. My sisters and I have so many fond memories of Cousin Cameron on our regular trips to Vancouver growing up. I loved his deep laugh, crooked smile and endless sense of fun. He loved his girls and his family. I will never forget the day he married Sharon in West Toronto. Even though a tornado ripped through the neighbourhood, downing trees and blocking roads, nothing was going to keep Cameron from what became a beautiful wedding day. My condolences to his family. He was a very special soul.

It has been about 38 years since I had the fortune on being in your presence but my memory persists in that you were always a kind, gentle and teaching soul. I suspect this same demeanor carried on through your whole life. Your existence made my world a better one. As I reflect on the past, I remember only good memories with you Cameron….. I think because there were no bad times with you. I am deeply sorry that we did not stay connected over the years. I hope to see you on the other side my friend! Maybe not just yet though……. ha!
To your family that I have never met but only heard about, my heart goes out to you all. Knowing Cameron is in a safe place only eases the pain.
I only recently heard the news but I will take time and honour Cameron in the way I know how in the near future.
Peace to you Cameron.

My heart goes out to your family for the loss of Cameron. He was a truly lovely man. I was blessed to know Cameron from the time he was first born and shall carry him in my heart always. May the Good Lord bless and keep you all in his loving care. May he be reunited with his beautiful Mother, Barbara and my children Nancy and Peter who had the good fortune to grow up with the McNish family.

Cam was a dear friend of our family and, for many years, kept in touch. We remember him for his ready smile, and as a great baseball coach, badminton player & his generous spirit. Our love goes out to the family.

Cam was like a big brother to me. He supported and coached me in baseball and badminton and was a big part of my early teenage years. My early badminton success was in many ways a result of Cam’s dedication to our weekly best of 7 battles at the racquets club – he made trophy that we played for every week. Such a kind hearted soul. I will miss Cam – such a great individual and mentor.
