Obituary of Bridget Edwick
It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of Bridget Edwick on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the age of 94 in her home surrounded by family & love. She has been reunited with her best friend, husband Roy Edwick (2019) along with her parents, Patrick O’Shea & Bridget (Harrison) and siblings, Anna (Maguire), Patrick (Patsy) and Michael. Left here to share her memories her beloved sister Kathleen, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada, Ireland, England and the United StatesBridget was a character! She lived and loved to laugh. She was kind, loving and generous. She was very proud of her Irish heritage, had a strong will and knew her own mind. She didn't have any biological children but mothered many. She loved life, people and animals, especially cats and budgies (all of whom were named Paddy). She enjoyed golfing, traveling, dancing and music, particularly Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra.
Roy and Bridget were snowbirds for over 30 years. In the winter months they called Florida their home.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133) A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
A sincere thank you to Bridget's family, friends, the Palliative Care teams; Nurses (Tanya & Iran), Doctors (Dr. MacTavish), the Personal Support Workers (Mya) and the Occupational Therapists (Catherine) from HCCSS and Sandra’s Home Health Care Services (Aksha) for all their care, kindness and love in this difficult time. We could not have made this journey without them. If desired, donations in Bridget's memory may be made to The Covenant House or to The Walker Family Cancer Centre.
As Bridget would say, "Life is like a cup of tea, it's all in how you make it!"

Aunt Bridget, You Were A Ray Of Sunshine in Uncle Roy’s Life, and You Always Put A Smile On My Face Everytime I Seen You. Thank You For Being You, and For All Your Memories. You Will Always Be Loved and Remembered. LOVE YOU ❤️.
My mother met Bridget when they came to Canada and they worked together. Please accept my deepest condolences
I met Bridget at the library several years and immediately we clicked talking about books and favourite authors and each week I helped her find her playaways so she could listen to a good story while she puttered around, not getting any housework done as she liked to tell me. We always had great chats and lots of laughs Since Roy has been gone I would deliver her items though the visiting library service, and I got to know Bridget even better. She was such a wonderful lady so full of joy and with a wicked sense of humor and a heart of gold. I will miss her and send my condolences to her sister and her niece, who she loved dearly, as well as the rest of her family.
