Obituary of Brian Edward Collins

Brian Edward Collins has died on Sunday, April 16, 2023, in his 87th year. He is survived by his wife of forty seven years, Catherine Taylor. His brother Jim Collins. His daughters Judy Collins, Tracey Collins, Christine McLeod and favourite person on the planet, son in law Ross McLeod. He is also survived by granddaughters Kaylee, Beatrice, Leena and great grandson Adrian. Brian retired from a lifetime of driving buses for the TTC and Grey Coach. Upon retiring he tried to spend as much time as he could at Treasure Island, Florida. As he entered the later stages of retirement, he chose to stay at home and do all kinds of fun grandpa stuff. Forgoing trips to Florida and learning how to use an iPad, so he could email and FaceTime with people. Brian was old school cool. You ate red meat, potatoes and had a drink when you wanted it. His favourite saying was “you can take a pill for that’. His down fall came with dementia that raised its ugly head. Brian’s care requirements meant a nursing home for the past year and a half. Upper Canada Lodge has been wonderful place for Brian and his family. We would like to thank the staff for their care and support. As per Brian’s wishes, no service or funeral will take place.
