Obituary of Brenda Ann Durette
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brenda Ann Durette. She passed away peacefully after her brave struggle with cancer, surrounded by her family on March 1, 2021. She will be sadly missed by her soulmate and husband of 35 years, Edward Durette. Cherished dearly by her three daughters Tina, Lisa (Richard), and Chantal (Justin). She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Malcolm (Kate), Martin, Marcus, Laselle, Lastaysha (Mario), Shajkeal, Laniqua (Jamail), Sandor, Owen, Lukas and Jack. She will be fondly remembered by her great grandchildren Avery, Jaleel, Mylles, Jayla, Kryrese, Alaki and Quinton. She will be memorialized by her siblings Bryan (Brenda), Cheryl, Jean (Dave), Roy (Janet) and all of her nieces and nephews. Brenda will also be missed by extended family, friends and her beloved pouch Ellie. Brenda was predeceased by her parents Carl and Louise, and her sister Sandy (Rick).Brenda was a huge family person and always loved to entertain her friends and family either at her home or at her trailer. Her strong will to fight through this horrible disease, bought us all some extra time to spend with her. She was always a feisty woman and she proved that to the end of her time here with us. Brenda found joy taking care of her bird friends and both Brenda and Ed loved to spend time watching the birds eat from their bird feeders. During the Christmas season she loved binge watching Christmas Hallmark movies, and made a point to see if everyone else had seen them too. Brenda was a big dog lover. She found immense joy from quality time with her pooch Ellie. Her gardening and baking skills are something she really took pride in. Her love for her family and friends will be unmatched, but the love she had for her husband and Ellie is eternal. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). As per her wishes cremation has taken place.
