Obituary of Bonnie Lou Simmons (née Wade)
With fond memories and heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Bonnie Simmons (née Wade), who passed away peacefully on June 2, 2024 at NHS-Niagara Falls Site at the age of 74. She has been reunited with her parents Harold and Annabelle (née Crain), her brother Gary and Erikka's father, Big Al. Bonnie lived a vibrant life filled with joy, laughter, and cherished moments with her loved ones. She leaves behind her devoted daughter Erikka Fiegehen (Ron), Ron's children Trinitey Lomas, Arieawnna Fiegehen and Silas Fiegehen, her dear siblings Judie Wade, Nancy Cullen (Steve), Drena Wade and sisters-in-law Patti Wade and Patricia Whitehead (Jim) as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be terribly missed by all those who knew her but mostly by her special friends Ruth Ellis, Liz Michaud, Cynthia Cotroneo, Candace Bradshaw-Moreau, Jan Moody and Milly Lopoyda and her fur grandbaby Boopie. Bonnie was also an honourary Grandma to a lot of the children of Erikka's friends, providing comforting care to most of them.Known for her outgoing nature, Bonnie was always on the go, embracing life with an infectious energy that touched everyone around her. She had a passion for bingo, finding excitement in every game and delighting in the camaraderie it brought. Her love for game shows, especially word games, was evident in her competitive spirit and quick wit.
Bonnie found joy in simple pleasures, often spending leisurely afternoons picnicking with family and friends, basking in the warmth of their company and the beauty of nature.
Among Bonnie's favorite pastimes was indulging in country music, particularly the sounds of Keith Urban, whose music resonated deeply with her soul. She could often be found tapping her foot to the rhythm or simply admiring his talent with a twinkle in her eye.
Bonnie's spirit and zest for life will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her laughter, kindness, and love will forever remain in our hearts. Her family would like to send a sincere thank you to the staff at Queenston Place as well as the PSW's from ParaMed, the March of Dimes for all their compassion and support and to Rebecca Cerminara for the love and support she provided on her own time.
In keeping with her wishes, a visitation will be held at Essentials Cremation and Burial Services 4300 Drummond Road, Niagara Falls on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 6:00 p.m until 8:00 pm. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Lung Association or the Kidney Foundation in Bonnie's memory.

Erika I’m so sorry for your loss. Your mom was a beautiful person! May she rest in Grace!
I worked alongside Bonnie for many years. Shared plenty of stories & laughs.
She was always pleasant, friendly and kind.
Everybody loved Bonnie.
Erikka and family, sending you all our love support and prayers during this terribly difficult time.
I remember visiting you throughout the early years and have SUCH fond and fun memories with you your dad (Big Al????) and your mom who was always the voice of reason. Bonnie was so sweet and was always so kind to me especially as a lil kid growing up, like my second family ????
Gone too soon…. Both parents. My family extends our deepest condolences and sympathy to you xoxo
OMG, I remember Bonnie from years ago when with both lived in the Meadowvale town houses. Our little girls played together! She was a lovely person. I often wondered and thought about her. Rest peacefully Bonnie. <3
