Obituary of Barbara Chetwood
March 15, 1938 - February 18, 2024Passed away peacefully at Queenston Place, Niagara Falls, Ontario, on Sunday, February 18, 2024. Beloved wife for 62 years to the late Ronald Chetwood (Feb 2018). Loving mother of Julie (Richard) Legare and Paula (Paul) Martin. Proud Nana of Susan, Samantha, Ron, Amanda and Matthew. She was a great grandmother to Elizabeth, Alyssa, Nicholas, Jack, Nora and Lucas. Barbara leaves behind special friends Alan and Lorna Saul, and Joan Knowles.
The family would like to thank the staff of Queenston Place for the care she received during her stay there. As per Barb's wishes, cremation has taken place and arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. There will be no service at this time and an interment is planned for the summer time. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be given to the charity of your choice. Sorry for your loss Julie and Richard, she was a lovely lady and I’m glad I got to know her . She had great stories about her life and her adventures . I will miss her.
