Obituary of Barbara Ann Demmers

On Wednesday, December 22, 2021, Barbara peacefully passed away at Eventide Home in Niagara Falls, in her 66th year. She was the soulmate and best friend for more than 35 years to Erwin. Devoted mother of James (Charity), Evan, Christopher, Erik, Tovah Wilder, and proud Grandma to her 10 grandchildren. Dear sister of Doug (Nancy) Worthing and Pauline. Barbara will be remembered by her sister-in-law Wendy (Jamie) McDonell, brother-in-law Ron (Tina) Demmers, also by many nieces and nephews. Barbara has been reunited with her beloved parents.

As our family is saddened to say goodbye to Barbara. Our hearts and minds will remember her by her beautiful smile and sweet laugh. Throughout life, she enjoyed painting and sketching; some of her artwork was gifted to family and friends to keep and enjoy. Barbara was happy to spend time outside in her garden and she loved yellow and pink roses. Above all, she received the most joy and fulfillment being with her family, as she cherished her time spent with Erwin and had an abundance of unwavering love for her kids. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

A very special thank you to everyone at Eventide, for extending such beautiful care and love towards Barbara during her stay. We could not have asked for a better home for her to be in through her final years. In accordance with Barbara’s wishes, cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held for family and friends at a later date. In memory of Barbara, memorial donations may be given to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Alzheimer Society.
