Obituary of Audrey Ann Place

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Audrey Ann Place on September 27, 2021 at 72 years old. Audrey will be greatly missed by her son Tate (Kelly) and cherished by her grandchildren Hailie, Parker, Tyler and Morgan. She will be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Shirley Debeau, and her niece and nephew Chistopher, and Tanera and their families. Audrey will be thought of often by her good friends Jill O'Guin, Donna Summerville, and Patty Turke. She is predeceased by her parents Sissy and Larry DeBeau, her brothers Jim and Les DeBeau, her son Troy Place as well as her ex-husband and friend Harold Place.

Audrey was born and raised in Fort Erie, Ontario. She was a very gifted and talented person. She enjoyed her arts and crafts; she did everything from reupholstering, to making drapes, clothing and costumes. She also enjoyed volunteering at the legion and playing darts. Audrey’s favourite place to travel was to Florida where she would visit her family on a yearly basis. Audrey cherished every moment with her family. She was a hard worker and was a proud employee at the District School Board of Niagara.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). Cremation has taken place. The family will have a private Celebration of life at a later date. A special thank you to all the Staff at Gilmore Lodge for the love and compassion that they extended towards Audrey. Memorial donations may be made to The Canadian Lung Association for COPD or to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made on Audrey’s Tribute page found at EssentialsNiagara.com.

I met Audrey while volunteering at Garrison Place and I was very found of her from the day I met her. I am very sad for the loss we all feel right now and she will be missed an though of very often. Rest in Peace Audrey.

Oh my sweet Friend Audrey how I will miss you and have missed you since leaving Garrison Place..You were such an amazing Lady and I enjoyed making you laugh and bringing treats and snacks to your room and just talking and laughing with each other. You were definitely one of those beautiful souls that touched my heart and I will forever remember you my friend 💋 💋
