My sincere condolences to Trisha, Brook and families. As your next door neighbours, the Proulx family, for many years, we loved your Dad’s sense of humour. He and your Mom were lovely people and we enjoyed watching you kids grow up. As the only living member of the Proulx family, having lost both my brothers in 2022, please know that we enjoyed having the Blanchfields as neighbours. Trisha, so happy to see you caring for the family home. When memories are all we have left, hold them close, they bring warmth, laughter and connection to our roots.
Trisha, Brook, and Families
Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your dad, Art.
I worked with Art for many years at the Post Office and we became great pals.
We had so many laughs together. No matter what was going on he was guaranteed to bring laughter into it. The last time we got together was in 2018 and it was as if no time had passed at all. We had 28 beers that night (Well…actually 2) and laughed the whole time! I even have a pic from that night.
I mill miss him. He was a bona-fide legend.
Trisha and Brook.
So sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. He was a good neighbour and friend when I was growing up and I have so many memories of going fishing with him, playing road hockey with him and even taking my drums next door to jam with his band. He will be missed. Rest in peace Art.
With heartfelt condolences
John Gamble
So sorry to hear about your dad Trisha & Brook and families
I first met Art at the post office where he always greeted every one with a smile. He was a big fan of our bluegrass band (Border City Bluegrass) and would come to Burlington to catch our shows. He often enjoyed “hanging out” with my mother, and members of my family at the bluegrass shows at the Burlington Legion.
I also marched with Art with the Memorial Militaires Alumni Drum Corps.
Dear Brook and the Blanchfield Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Mr. Blanchfield’s passing. I still remember the first time I met your dad many years ago, and every time after that, he always greeted me with a big smile and a cheerful, “Hey, pal.” He was consistently warm, friendly, and full of energy.
I also remember how proud your Dad and Mom were when you were hired by the Metropolitan Toronto Police. Brook, I know you and your dad shared a very close bond, especially through your love of fishing and playing baseball together back in the day.
Please accept our sincere condolences. May you carry the many fond memories of your Dad in your hearts, allowing his spirit to live on through each of you. We hope those memories bring you comfort and strength during this very difficult time.
With heartfelt sympathy and love,
Rich, Brenda, and Family
