Obituary of Anthony 'Tony' Carlo Ruscitti
With heavy hearts we announce that Anthony (Tony) Carlo Ruscitti passed away at the age of 69 years, in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the Marotta Family Hospital in St. Catharines, surrounded by loved ones.Tony was the loving husband of Susan Victoria Ruscitti for 45 years; devoted father to Ronnie Wood (Jacalyn), Lynzey (Nicolas), and Bradley (Rosie) and an adored grandfather to Rowan and Archer. Tony was also a cherished brother of Anna Soock (John), Frank Ruscitti (Jessica), and dear uncle to Rhonda (Allyn) and Jeremy (Darlene).
Tony has been reunited with his mother Elda and father Angelo Ruscitti.
Tony was a former supervisor for the City of Niagara Falls, an avid car enthusiast, golfer, gardener, and lawn care expert. Shortly after his retirement from the city, he started his own lawn care business. As you might expect, he had the greenest grass in the neighbourhood.
Tony was a social butterfly; everywhere he went, every errand he ran, he would run into someone he knew. Simple trips to the grocery store were seldom less than an hour. Tony was also an incredibly considerate man; he would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it. Tony will be deeply missed, not only by his family and many close friends, but by his community.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of Tony’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services in Niagara Falls. If desired, donations in Tony’s memory may be made to Childhood Cancer Canada.

Thinking of you
Sue, Brad and Lynzey-as with everyone who knows Tony we are heartbroken at the loss of our good friend. We have known your family for many years and at the heart of Tony was “family”. His love and joy centered around family and friends (and food and cars…lol). Always a big smile and wanting to help in any way he could. We were all blessed to know him, but he is gone too soon. We hope that your wonderful memories will help you all through this time. Thoughts and prayers.
Our Condolences to the family on the passing of Tony.. He was a good guy with a big heart and would help everyone… I remember him when we worked together at the city.. He will never be forgotten
Oh Tony! What a guy. As stubborn as a mule, a little whipper snapper, with the most lively energy and the biggest heart. I’ll miss our monthly visits – hearing all your stories of friends and things you were getting up to. Razzing each other back and forth – we always had a fun witty banter going. Haha I never left empty handed (foods, treats, things from the garden or just having dinner with you and Sue – my stomach wouldn’t be empty leaving the house.) – you were always making sure my car was working properly and giving me advice. Haha – and the way you talked about your grand kids and all the photos you’d show me, the stories of your kids – he truly cherished his family so much. + his spirit really shines through all the comments and stories I’ve read about him.
I’m so sorry for your loss Sue + family. I hope that all the love surrounds you all like a blanket during this hard time.

I had the pleasure of working with Brad and meeting his family. I am sending my deepest condolences to all of you in this difficult time. Loved conversations with Tony and his wife. Truly a deep loss.
I’m so saddened to hear about Tony’s passing. Always with a smile and grin. My mom loved having him cut her grass. There was no one like Tony that could take care of her lawn. She is also so saddened to hear about his passing. May he find all the peace, joy and love as he is reunited with his loved ones. As per Tony’s wishes, my mom and I have donated to the children’s cancer foundation. May god give you strength and courage during this very difficult time.
“No respect I tell ya” will never be the same on the tee blocks.
Thanks for the opportunity to be your friend.
