Obituary of Anthony "Tony" Laslo

Passed away peacefully in his 97th year, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital in Niagara Falls on September 26, 2023 with his family by his side. Loving husband of 54 years to Elaine "Bunny". Lovingly remembered by his family: Anthony (Mandy), James (Nicole), and grandson Jacob. Michael (Christine), grandchildren; Jennifer and Jeffery, and great granddaughter Delilah. Margaret (Marc) and granddaughters Tracy (Tyler) and Danielle (Dan). Predeceased by his parents Steven and Agatha, and sister Elizabeth "Betty".

Anthony, fondly known as Tony, was born March 15th, 1927 in a small town outside of Regina, Saskatchewan. He was a charming and charismatic man who spent most of his life in the hospitality industry where his service was well known in Niagara-on-the-Lake. His beautiful blue eyes would widen at the sight of his children and grandchildren. He was a gifted storyteller. Famous for his cabbage rolls and his love of cognac. He also enjoyed hustling the kids at snooker. He was passionate about golf, the New York Yankees and his beloved Habs.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick Church, 4673 Victoria Ave, Niagara Falls, Thursday, October 5th at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Patrick Church or The Carmelite Missions - Care of St. Patrick Church.

I am so sorry to hear of Tony’s passing. He was a true gentleman. He always had a big smile when he ran into to me. I remember those days when he worked in Niagara on the Lake and we would all meet there. I will keep you and the family in my thoughts and prayers.
