Obituary of Angus McDonald

The family of Angus McDonald sadly announces his passing on November 2, 2024, at the age of 71. Angus is survived by his sweetheart and best friend, Patti. He was the proud father of Jeff (Charmaine), Bradley (Tracy), Robert (Bernadette), and Scott, and a devoted grandfather to Noah, Evan, and Dean. He will be dearly missed by Lil. Angus is also survived by his sisters Wilma (Douglas) and Mary, his brothers-in-law Joseph (Donna), Carl, and Paul (Bonnie), as well as many nieces and nephews. Angus was predeceased by his parents, James and Margaret, his siblings Katherine, James, and Margaret, and his brothers-in-law Brian and Stephen.

He worked at Canada Forge for over 40 years until his retirement. Throughout his life, he enjoyed playing baseball, snooker, and darts, and watching his boys play. He was a 50-year member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 and a dedicated Union Steward and proud member of CAW/TCA. Most of all, Angus adored his grandsons.

In honouring his wishes, cremation has taken place, and arrangements are entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Walker Family Cancer Centre are greatly appreciated.

A celebration of Angus’ life will be held on Friday, November 22 at the Royal Canadian Legion (Branch 4), 383 Morningstar Ave, Welland, ON from 2 -4 p.m.
