Obituary of Amelia (Mimi) Kah (née Carrocci)

Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Northland Pointe on October 23, 2025 at the age of 77. Amelia is now reunited with her beloved husband John Kah (2024), her son Richard Kah (1999) and her parents Chester and Grace Carrocci-Legault. Loving mother to Deborah McCracken and David Kah. Cherished grandma to Justin Kah and Jessica Gibson. Amelia will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Frances LaCroix (Al 2024), Adrienne Fortin (Roger 2006), Sandra LaCroix (Paul), Frank Carrocci (Linda) and Larry Carrocci (Monique). Dear sister-in-law to Jakob Kah (Aline 2019), Franz Kah, Peter Kah and Kathy Champis (Joe). She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Although born in Welland, Amelia lived her whole life in Port Colborne, where she and John raised their family. She worked for many years as a legal secretary before opening RJ’s Subs (now called Archie's) with her son Richard in 1997, where she continued to work until her retirement.

In her earlier years, Amelia enjoyed cooking, ceramics and painting, and more recently, she found joy in completing puzzles. She will be remembered for her vibrant and loving nature, her infectious laughter, and her wonderful sense of humour. With her warmth and kindness, Amelia effortlessly drew people in and left a lasting impression on every life she touched.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Wilson and staff at Northland Pointe for their care and compassion.

In keeping with Amelia's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. If desired, donations in Amelia's memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
