Obituary of Amelia "Millie" Wallace
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Amelia "Millie" Wallace on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the age of 90. Millie passed away peacefully at Millenium Trail Manor and has now reunited with her beloved husband of 55 years, Joseph (2010).Millie leaves behind her loving sons: Mike (Cyndi), Joe (Dawn), Bill (Beth) and Brad (David). She was the cherished grandmother of Kent and Jane and will be fondly remembered by many cousins and extended family members.
Born in New York City, and raised in Canada, Millie had a strong independent personality. She started working at the age of 16 as an AT&T operator in New York, ultimately retiring after many years at Stamford Collegiate. Millie was a long-time member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. She was generous, liked to laugh and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed sports, especially baseball, continuing to play organized ball into her 60's.
Thank you to the staff of the Stamford Wing at Millennium Trail Manor for the care and kindness they provided to Millie while she was there.
