It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alan Prytula on January 23, 2020 in Niagara Falls, Ontario at the age of 54. Lovingly missed by his wife Debbie Stacey. Alan attended E. D Feehan Catholic High School. During his teen years he excelled at softball, hockey and football. He eventually studied at the U of S where he convocated with a B.Ed. in 1987. Alan graduated from the RCMP academy “Depot” Division in Regina. He started his career as a Mountie in Ontario and called St. Catharines his home ever since. Alan had a passion for music and loved attending live concerts in the big cities out East. He and Debbie loved entertaining friends. I miss the days in my career working with jovial guys such as Al. The life of any party and the kindest of souls. Al stories to this day still bring the heartest of laughs. You will never be forgotten. RIP friend
I just heard of Al passing away. I have found memories of grade school of him. I’m so sorry to all the family and sending you love and peace.
So sorry and shocked to hear of Al’s passing .. Condolences to Debbie and family ..
Al was one of the best. We had so many great times together, a special one being when Al & Duncan spent their first Christmas in Niagara Falls with Marlene, Kyla and myself. It was an incredible evening…one we will never forget.
We are sure going to miss you pal. Our sincere condolences to Debbie and Al’s entire family. Rest in Peace Gonzo…

I am devastated to learn of Al’s passing. Al and myself went through RCMP cadet training at Depot. He was my pit partner. We shared many a good laugh together during training both on base and off base on weekends when we were allowed to wreck havoc on the various bars and pubs in Regina. I will never forget what he told one puffed up drill corporal during one of our troops’ “stand to” inspections. When asked the reason why he wanted to become an RCMP officer, Al, while standing at attention, simply stated: ” well, after graduation, I couldn’t find a job anywhere else so I decided to give this a try”…. Our whole troop fell to the ground laughing while the Corporal stood there, red faced , huffing and puffing….. Priceless. I think Al had it right: don’t take one’s self too seriously. Enjoy things. Thank you Al. Sincere condolences to your wife and family. Rest in Peace my friend.
Sincere condolences to Debbie and all of Al’s family. Very saddened to learn of Al’s passing. Leaving us way too soon. Lots of great memories of his time at the RCMP in Niagara. Those were very happy times for us all.
We are sorry for your loss Debbie. We know you will miss him very much!
My sincere condolences to Al’s family. I still have vivid and fun memories of my time at the RCMP training academy with Al in 1987/88. It is very unfortunate that our paths never crossed again since our graduation from the RCMP academy. I am very sorry for your loss.
