Obituary of Ben Pelton
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Ben Pelton on September 14, 2021 at the age of 90. Loving husband of 68 years to Edith. Cherished father of Susanne (Jim) Antonio, Christine (Jim) Irvine, Steven (Sandra), Keith (late Brenda), Melanie Willick (late Brian). Loving grandfather of Karrie, Jordan, Jacob, Erin, Karyn, Michael, Curtis, Grace, P.J., Joel, Paul, (late Daniel), Dustin and eight great-grandchildren. Son of the late Joshua and Evelyn Pelton, brother of the late Annie and (Al) Sirota, Marylou (Ed) Ilgenfritz, Gordie (Betty). Also missed by brothers and sisters in law and many nieces and nephews. He loved all animals, especially his fur baby Sammy. Ben was a proud member of Ironworker's Local 736 for over 60 years where he was known as a true gentleman. He was an avid gardener, which showed in his beautiful backyard oasis. His presence was large and so was his spirit. Ben was a pillar of strength and gave solid advice to all. He was most happy when surrounded by family and friends. After retirement Ben and Edith enjoyed many years spending their winters in Florida. Condolences and memories may be shared online at EssentialsNiagara.com. If so desired, donations may be made to the NHS-Dialysis Unit in his memory. In keeping with Ben's wishes a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.Service Information
